Nvidia has added another property to its growing Santa Clara empire, shelling out $123 million in cash for a 10-building office and research campus. The newly acquired 13-acre property is located at 2348 and 2350 Walsh Avenue, directly across from the company’s global headquarters. The deal was completed in early May 2025, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
The Walsh Avenue campus represents the latest in a string of strategic property acquisitions by the tech giant over the past year. This purchase continues Nvidia‘s pattern of buying properties adjacent to its existing operations, creating a concentrated corporate presence in Santa Clara.
Just three months earlier, Nvidia purchased a 500,000-square-foot office campus from the Mountain View-based Sobrato Organization. That acquisition included four buildings, each measuring 125,000 square feet, at 2701, 2711, 2721, and 2731 San Tomas Expressway.
The company’s property buying spree began in May 2024 when it acquired its headquarters buildings—eight structures totaling 550,000 square feet—for $374.3 million in cash. That purchase also included two parking garages and reflected a price of approximately $680 per square foot.
In December 2024, Nvidia leased another 100,600-square-foot office and research building at 300 Holger Way in north San Jose, further expanding its Silicon Valley footprint.
The company’s real estate expansion coincides with its tremendous financial growth. Nvidia recently reported a 114% revenue increase to $130 billion, giving it the cash needed for these all-cash transactions. A convenient pedestrian bridge connects the San Tomas Expressway properties to Nvidia’s headquarters, enhancing campus connectivity.
The San Tomas Expressway properties connect to headquarters via a pedestrian bridge, while the newly acquired Walsh Avenue campus creates potential for further integration of Nvidia’s facilities. The newly acquired campus is currently occupied by various tenants including a community center and a vocational school. Together, these acquisitions establish a consolidated corporate campus spanning multiple properties.
This aggressive expansion occurs amid soaring demand for Nvidia’s AI chips and computing infrastructure, signaling the company’s confidence in continued growth despite emerging competition in the AI market.
