ai gadgets transforming reality

CES 2026 brought a wave of AI-powered gadgets to Las Vegas. The annual tech show featured devices that once seemed like science fiction. From earthquake-sensing cameras to translation earbuds, the innovations covered daily life in big ways.

One standout was the Argus-D Multi Hazard Detection CCTV. It’s a security camera that detects fire, smoke, and earthquakes. It uses edge intelligence, meaning it doesn’t need the cloud to work. It makes decisions on its own and sends alerts within seconds. Cities, utilities, and public safety networks could use it to build citywide warning systems.

The Argus-D doesn’t wait for the cloud — it thinks on its own and sounds the alarm in seconds.

TDK showed off its AIsight technology, built into a pair of AI glasses. The glasses have two cameras and can track where the user’s eyes are looking. That means the device knows what object a person is focused on without them having to say anything. The system can process multiple items at once and supports AR interactions.

EarFun introduced the Air Pro 4+, a pair of earbuds with built-in AI translation. They support up to 134 languages in real time. A “Free Talk” mode lets two people have a conversation without holding anything. Users set it up through an app using a QR code. The device is aimed at travelers and professionals.

The AA-2 Autonomous Delivery Robot was built for apartment buildings and mixed-use complexes. It can ride elevators on its own and make multiple deliveries per trip. It’s designed to handle the final stage of delivery inside secure buildings without human help. After completing its route, the robot uses a deflatable design to collapse into a compact form for easy storage.

Boston Dynamics and Realbotix both showed humanoid robots. These robots can recognize individual users, understand speech, detect emotions, and even identify colors. The demos showed how far physical AI robots have come regarding real-world interaction. Experts predict that AI will displace hundreds of millions of jobs globally by 2030 while simultaneously creating entirely new categories of roles that these robots may help define.

LG also revealed its CLOiD system, which uses affectionate intelligence across home appliances. The ThinkQ platform connects the devices and lets them communicate with each other. LG’s new robot, trained on thousands of hours of real-world tasks, can handle chores like folding laundry and emptying the dishwasher.

Together, these gadgets showed that AI’s not just in phones and computers anymore. It’s in walls, ears, eyes, and hallways.
